蒂米·弗兰克断言提努布总统计划将尼日利亚首都从阿布贾迁出。

Timi Frank, the former Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has claimed that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is considering moving Nigeria’s capital from Abuja to Lagos if he secures re-election in 2027.

Frank disclosed his concerns in a statement released on Monday. The former APC leader criticized Tinubu’s administration for what he termed a ‘Lagos-centric agenda.’ He expressed his belief that the President is focusing on sidelining other regions.Frank asserted that the significant decisions made by Tinubu’s government seem primarily designed to benefit Lagos State. “It is becoming evident that the President’s long-term strategy is to consolidate political and economic power in Lagos if re-elected,” he remarked.

Furthermore, Frank indicated that federal appointments and development initiatives under Tinubu appear to be predominantly biased, cautioning that this trend threatens national unity.”We seek a president who is inclusive,” he emphasized. “What initiatives has Tinubu proposed for agricultural and livestock production in the North, industrial growth in the Southeast, and oil and gas development in the South-South? None! Additionally, no administration in Nigeria’s history has fractured the nation and its populace along regional and ethnic lines as this one has.

There is an escalating sense of alienation and division among Nigerians that is concerning. It seems to be a systematic approach to impoverish specific regions—particularly the North, South, and Southeast—thereby weakening constituents economically ahead of the 2027 elections,” Frank concluded.
