An eyewitness, who is also a member of 2Baba’s team, has shared a detailed account of the events that unfolded between the popular singer and his wife, Natasha Osawaru, at a club in Abuja on Friday, August 8, 2026. The incident reportedly took place at the grand opening of the 90s Lounge, where 2Baba was invited as a special guest, and it quickly escalated into a dramatic scene that drew the attention of onlookers.According to the eyewitness’s account, Natasha arrived at the club accompanied not only by her brothers but also by a large group that included up to twenty individuals described as thugs. Their presence raised immediate concerns among 2Baba’s team, as they feared for the singer’s safety.
The eyewitness recounted that Natasha’s initial approach involved an attempt to force her way to the vehicle in which 2Baba was seated, seeking to engage him in a private discussion without the presence of any third party.”I was positioned right by the window of the car,” the team member explained. “Suddenly, I noticed someone dressed in black aggressively trying to pry open the door. Initially, I felt a wave of panic wash over me because the situation was so unexpected. She began shouting my name and hurling insults in my direction.
She yelled, ‘I want to talk to my husband. Open the door! I want to speak to my husband!'”The eyewitness detailed that Natasha did not come alone; she was flanked by her brothers, who also attempted to enter the car, adding to a chaotic atmosphere as they pushed to confront the singer. The eyewitness articulated their deep concern, stating, “We were hesitant to let Natasha into the vehicle because we were unaware of her intentions and worried for 2Baba’s safety. There was no telling if she might be carrying something that could threaten him.”It was amid this turmoil that the eyewitness witnessed Natasha’s brothers attempting to forcibly usher her into the car, bringing an even greater sense of urgency to the situation.
“I didn’t want to risk anything happening, so I decided to get out of the car to allow her the opportunity to join us. I told 2Baba that it would be best for him to speak with her directly, to clarify his position and ensure her intentions were benign.”Upon stepping out of the car, the eyewitness instructed the bouncer to stay inside as a precautionary measure, yet Natasha seemed to override these precautions by demanding that the bouncer vacate the vehicle. This action prompted the eyewitness to return to the car to renegotiate with Natasha regarding her approach. “I needed to understand why she was behaving in this manner,” he remarked, emphasizing the urgency of the situation.Eventually, after some deliberation, the team made the decision to allow Natasha to join them inside the club.
“We figured it was best to have her come with us to minimize tension and avoid turning the entire situation into a public spectacle,” the eyewitness explained. Once inside, 2Baba managed to find a moment to speak privately with Natasha. According to the eyewitness, during their conversation, he reassured her, stating, “I am not your enemy.” This declaration was meant to diffuse any underlying animosity and to help bridge the gap wrought by the events leading up to that moment. The atmosphere inside the club was filled with an uneasy tension, but there was hope that perhaps a more private dialogue could resolve the issues that had surfaced in such a public and alarming manner.
