In a surprising turn of events, 13-year-old North West, daughter of renowned figures Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, has abruptly canceled her inaugural headlining music tour. This decision comes just a few months after her music career officially launched and, notably, mere days before the scheduled commencement of the first show. North West, who released her debut extended play (EP) titled “N0rth4ever” in May, was preparing to embark on the Kimokawaii Tour alongside 21-year-old rapper Molly Santana.
The tour was slated to begin next week. However, on Thursday, North West publicly announced that the tour would no longer proceed. She conveyed her disappointment via her Instagram Story on July 30, stating, “I was really excited to go on tour w Molly Santana.
Sadly it isn’t happening anymore.” While the young artist did not offer a specific reason for the cancellation, she alluded to an alternative project, teasing her followers with a cryptic message accompanied by a black heart emoji:
“But I have something special for u guys see ya soon.”The Kimokawaii Tour was scheduled to kick off on August 5 in Dallas and was planned to span across 14 dates, concluding on August 27 in Los Angeles.
All previously listed tour dates have now been officially marked as canceled on Ticketmaster, and the tour’s dedicated website has been removed from the internet.
North West’s initial foray into the music industry with her EP release in May garnered significant attention, with various members of the prominent Kardashian-Jenner family actively promoting her music across their social media platforms. In solidarity and to address ticket holders, Molly Santana also shared a message on her Instagram story on Thursday, expressing her regrets.
“To everyone who bought tickets to the tour, I sincerely apologize,” Santana wrote. “Nothing makes me more happy than the opportunity to share more amazing memories with you all, and I hope to see you soon.”
