Funke Akindele is a Nollywood actress. She has referred to herself as an extremist. She says this when discussing her choice to sever ties with those who have wronged her.
According to reports, Funke acknowledged that she is not flawless and may be problematic in a conversation with media personality Morayo Afolabi on her YouTube show.
The actress emphasized that not everyone can be as intelligent and driven as she is to complete tasks, recalling her late mother’s warning against attempting to mold people to fit her style.
Funke Akindele also remembered how her coworker Uzee Usman encouraged her to embrace people for who they are, which altered her outlook on interpersonal interactions.
The actress continued by saying that human relationships are crucial and that she is still learning about them, but she would always prioritize her mental well-being.
“I am proud of it, and I am not proud of that,” she declared. A balance is required.
I love a lot, I’m an extremist, and I’m honest and transparent. Although I’m not flawless, I can cause problems. When my mother was living, she would urge me to relax down since no one could be as quick and intelligent as me.
“I’m grateful that I have someone like Uzee Usman in my life. He once sat me down when I was griping about how others were acting. He advised me to embrace individuals for who they are because I am a leader. I sat down for the first time and remained silent. He was right, and I nearly started crying as I left my meal. I assured him that I would do my best.
For me, human relationships are crucial, and I’m learning new things every day, but my mental health comes first.
