The Presiding Bishop of Living Faith Church Worldwide, David Oyedepo, has disclosed details of the church’s newly completed Ark auditorium at Canaanland in Ota, Ogun State, describing the massive facility as a landmark project with global significance.According to Oyedepo, the auditorium contains 109,000 individual seats, 126 escalators, 29 elevators, and 20 chillers. He provided the figures in a video that has since gone viral while addressing worshippers on Saturday during the Day Five Impartation Service of the 2026 Annual Youth Alive Convention at Faith Tabernacle, Canaanland.
Referring to the building, he said, “What you have going on now, called The Ark, is a global amazement. I mean, it’s a global amazement.”Oyedepo emphasized that the auditorium’s seating capacity consisted of standard seats rather than benches. He also highlighted the scale of its air-conditioning infrastructure, explaining that the 20 chillers serve the facility’s central cooling system.“There are 109,000 seats.
Seats, not benches. Seats. There are 20 chillers,” he said.Explaining the capacity of the equipment, the bishop stated that a single chiller could provide cooling for a 5,000-bed hotel. With 20 such units installed, the auditorium has a substantial climate-control system designed to serve its enormous interior space. He further noted that the building is equipped with 126 escalators and 29 elevators to help worshippers move efficiently throughout the facility.“One chiller can power a 5,000-bed hotel. There are 20 of them to service the central air-conditioners. There are 126 escalators, 29 elevators,” Oyedepo said. The cleric also maintained that the project was completed without placing financial pressure on the congregation. He attributed its completion to what he called the “unlimited breakthrough power” of God, insisting that the church had not recently organized a special offering specifically to fund the auditorium.
He challenged members to recall when the last offering for The Ark had been collected, making a distinction between such a dedicated contribution and the church’s regular Sunday offerings.“Now, ask Faith Tabernacle, when was the last offering raised for The Ark? Not even mentioning Sunday offering. Any offering for The Ark,” he said.Oyedepo explained that the church’s tithes and offerings were being directed toward other responsibilities, including assistance for members facing financial hardship. He disclosed that the church’s welfare program supports at least 2,000 people every week.
He also stated that The Ark had no outstanding financial obligations.“Nothing on ground will be paid tomorrow. All paid off. They are just fixing,” he said, indicating that the remaining work involved finishing touches and adjustments rather than unpaid construction bills. The bishop said the auditorium’s completion, achieved without repeated appeals for money or special prayer requests focused on the project, demonstrated that major breakthroughs could occur without undue stress. He subsequently declared that believers would experience stress-free breakthroughs in the future, linking that expectation to the need for members to live in love.
“Your breakthroughs from henceforth shall be stress-free,” he declared.Oyedepo described love as “the greatest lifter of the believer” and urged members to remain committed to living in love as a way of continuing to experience progress and positive transformation in their lives. The five-day convention, themed “Next Levels,” was held at Canaanland from August 18 to 22 and featured worship, teaching, and prayer sessions for young members of the church.
