The Memphis rapper described his former partner as “the sweetest girl ever” while publicly acknowledging his role in the end of their relationship.NLE Choppa has taken responsibility for his part in the breakup with his former fiancée, Erica Raven. On Friday (August 28), the rapper shared a message on Instagram reflecting on the relationship and admitting that he had not treated Raven as he should have. The split came months after the couple began dating and became engaged last December.
Choppa captioned the post with a photo of himself proposing to Raven: “I apologize for not living up to this picture. The sweetest girl ever. It’s no excuse for me mishandling you. I’m accountable, I can be better, and I’m man enough to admit that.”He continued by describing the emotional impact of the breakup, writing, “I feel stripped, I lost several things that’s fulfilled my heart I refuse to lose you….”
NLE also said that he wanted to “marry” Raven, who is a singer and reality television personality.In a further appeal to his former partner, he wrote: “Don’t let me go, not yet, don’t give up on me yet pretty girl I’m learning. I’ll never be coward and not fight for you. Forget the ego & pride death to me today if u say I lost you. What’s life without u I love u.”Raven, who previously appeared on Baddies Gone Wild, announced the couple’s separation on August 6 through an Instagram reel. In the video, she said she had given the relationship as much effort and affection as she could.“I did my best to be the best fiancée and I showed up as much as I can, I gave as much love as I can, but sometimes it’s just not enough,” she said.
“So I’ll be moving forward on my own, taking this time to focus on myself, my growth, and what I need, while still wishing him well, offering my support, and keeping him in my prayers.”Raven added that she holds “no ill will” toward her ex and is not seeking conflict. Instead, she said she wants to direct her energy inward, prioritize her own well-being, and focus on herself as she moves ahead.
