Keyamo predicts a victory for Tinubu in the 2027 election.

In a bold declaration made yesterday during an interview on Channels Television, the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, asserted that the upcoming presidential election scheduled for next year will not be a contest but rather a ‘coronation’ for the incumbent President, Bola Tinubu.

Keyamo substantiated this strong prediction by referencing what he termed ‘pure demographic calculations,’ emphasizing that his statement was rooted in data rather than mere overconfidence or arrogance. He reiterated his conviction, stating, ‘The 2027 election is a coronation, not an election. I repeat. Don’t take me out of context.

It’s out of pure demographic calculations.’When questioned about the potential impact and electoral prospects of the opposition, Keyamo was dismissive, specifically targeting the presidential candidate of the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC), Peter Obi, and other contenders.

He expressed a clear inability to identify any viable source of votes for Obi in the forthcoming electoral exercise. ‘We have won already,’ Keyamo declared, looking around as if seeking an explanation. ‘I’m looking around; between you and me, where will Obi’s vote come from? I can’t see it. I don’t see where it will come from.

‘Furthermore, Keyamo leveled accusations of deception against Peter Obi concerning an alleged incident at the airport, where Obi claimed to have been harassed due to his opposition status.

Keyamo countered this narrative, insisting that video evidence available purportedly contradicted Obi’s claims, suggesting a deliberate misrepresentation of events.
