Ten players withdrew from their national team responsibilities during the most recent international break, adding to Arsenal’s problems.
Important players including Declan Rice, Jurrien Timber, and Leandro Trossard may return in time for Tuesday’s pivotal match, according to cautious optimism.
But Mikel Arteta’s plans are again being derailed by injuries. Gabriel Magalhaes sustained an injury during the Southampton loss, casting further concern on Arsenal’s defence consistency. Eberechi Eze, Mikel Merino, and Piero Hincappie are still out.
