📅 请标记日程:切尔西足球俱乐部重大变动! 🏆
According to a detailed report by Metro Sport, all eyes are on Chelsea Football Club as they gear up for an extensive squad overhaul this summer, particularly in the wake of a challenging season at Stamford Bridge. On Thursday, June 4, 2026, it was revealed that the club is open to making bold moves, with Argentine winger Alejandro Garnacho being one of several high-profile players considered available for transfer. This follows a campaign that fell far short of the expectations that both fans and management had set for the team.
Alejandro Garnacho joined Chelsea from Manchester United last summer for a hefty £40 million fee, bringing with him a reputation built on promise and potential. However, reality proved to be different. Limited to just 14 Premier League starts, the 21-year-old struggled to find his rhythm and ultimately finished the season with a mere one league goal. This stark performance was a sharp contrast to his impressive beginnings at Old Trafford, leaving questions about his future at the club.
This tactical shift comes as part of a wider restructuring within the club under incoming head coach Xabi Alonso, who is set to officially take the reins in July. With Chelsea having ended the previous season in an underwhelming 10th place in the Premier League, the urgency for change has never been more pronounced. The club is focused on revamping its squad, with a clear strategy to attract players who can make an immediate impact on the field.
In addition to Garnacho’s uncertain future, several other team members may also find themselves on the chopping block. Talents such as Filip Jorgensen, Axel Disasi, and potentially one of either Liam Delap, Marc Guiu, or Nicolas Jackson are also being scrutinized by the management for possible departures. This shift indicates a decisive move toward refining a squad that has often struggled with balance and cohesion over the last few seasons.
While there is an openness to let some players go, Chelsea is not orchestrating a mass exodus of their prized assets. Stars like Cole Palmer, Moisés Caicedo, and Estevão Willian are viewed as pivotal to Alonso’s long-term vision and are expected to remain key figures within the side.
Garnacho’s situation is particularly intriguing, given that he signed a long-term contract that extends until 2032. Chelsea’s readiness to consider his sale so soon after his arrival highlights the substantial reassessment process currently underway at the club. Alonso has made it clear that he prioritizes “culture, consistency, and competitiveness” within his squad, signaling an intent to establish a more disciplined and harmonious team environment.
