Breaking: Bello El-Rufai Accuses ICPC of Taking Things Out of Mallam’s Home

Drama recently erupted in Abuja as Kaduna North congressman Mohammed Bello El-Rufai attacked the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offenses Commission (ICPC) over its recent raid on the home of his father, former Kaduna Governor Nasir El-Rufai. See what transpired.

As part of its ongoing investigation into alleged malfeasance, the ICPC said that it had recovered documents, electronic devices, and even phone-tapping equipment during the operation. However, Bello denounced the report as inaccurate and deceptive, claiming that the goods were taken unlawfully and that the agency’s portrayal harmed people’s reputations without the necessary legal validation.”I would have uploaded images of everything they unlawfully stole from Mallam’s home in their own agent’s terrible handwriting.

“Thank you,” Bello remarked, giving the anti-corruption organization a strong warning.

Additionally, he urged the ICPC to file a proper lawsuit in court if it thinks there is solid evidence against his father rather than making divisive remarks in public.

Bello questioned the legitimacy of the operation and implied that he had records demonstrating the illegal handling of the collected items.

The confrontation raises concerns about due process, accountability, and selective probes while highlighting the escalating hostilities between influential political families and anti-graft organizations.Do you think Bello is attempting to hide something, or is the ICPC going too far?
