According to Football London, Arsenal have reportedly offered a pre-contract to Georgian prospect Andria Bartishvili, who has been compared with Paris Saint-Germain forward Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. The Georgia Under-21 international is contracted to FC Kolkheti but is currently on loan at Iberia 1999.
His deal expires at the end of the year. Arsenal are said to be competing with Juventus and Liverpool for the highly rated attacker, who is still weighing his options.Arsenal previously considered signing Kvaratskhelia, but PSG insist he is unavailable and the player is reportedly settled in Paris.
Sporting director Andrea Berta is leading the club’s pursuit of Bartishvili as Arsenal continue investing in young talent. The potential signing comes amid questions about Arsenal’s pathway for emerging players. Although the club has promoted Bukayo Saka, Myles Lewis-Skelly, and Max Dowman, Ethan Nwaneri is expected to leave on loan this summer.
Increased competition following Bruno Guimaraes’s arrival has contributed to that decision, though an injury allowed Nwaneri to feature against Coventry City.Arsenal opened their Premier League campaign with a 3-0 win over Coventry at the Emirates, with Martin Odegaard, Saka, and Kai Havertz scoring. New signing Christos Tzolis also impressed, while Gabriel Martinelli’s absence renewed speculation about his future and could affect the club’s plans for another attacking addition.
