On March 3, 2026, Fabrizio Romano reported that Mikel Arteta, the manager of Arsenal, provided a comforting update regarding Noni Madueke’s injury, stating that it is not as serious as first thought.
Fans and coaching staff were concerned about the winger, who had sustained a knock, especially considering his history of injuries. Arteta has already allayed such concerns, stating that the player won’t be sidelined for too long due to the slight setback.
“Noni was particularly frightened, especially after what happened in his other knee a few weeks ago, and he was out for six weeks,” Arteta remarked in reference to the circumstances. It is not even close to that injury.
The Arsenal manager emphasised the player’s immediate response, pointing out that because of his prior layoff, Madueke feared the worst. It was understandable given that he had just returned from a knee issue that held him out for several weeks.
“He should be out for days, not weeks,” Arteta added to further clarify the anticipated recovery period. Arsenal, who are now navigating a pivotal point of the season across many competitions, will greatly benefit from this improvement.
Madueke has been a crucial choice for Arteta because of his speed, inventiveness, and wide-ranging offensive threat. As Arsenal continues to strive for success in both home and European competitions, his availability is very crucial.
The Gunners have struggled with injuries this season, with a number of important players missing games at various times. As a result, Arteta and his coaching staff now place a high premium on keeping the group fit.
The manager’s remarks imply that the team is being cautious about Madueke’s recuperation, making sure he is fully recovered before playing again. This tactic is intended to avoid any more setbacks, particularly in light of the hectic timetable that lies ahead.
