Peter was removed as signatory and royalty payments were rerouted without his awareness.

In the third installment of his account detailing the acrimonious Psquare family dispute, Peter Okoye revealed a pivotal moment that ignited his deep-seated alarm: the startling realization that his name had been unceremoniously removed as a signatory from the official bank account of Northside Entertainment. This unsettling discovery occurred during his attempt to access and review the company’s financial records, a routine request that unexpectedly unearthed this significant alteration. The gravity of this omission, Peter stated, served as a potent catalyst, compelling him to embark on a more thorough and urgent investigation into the financial dealings of the music empire they had built together.

His subsequent findings, according to Peter’s narrative, only served to amplify his growing unease and suspicion. He has come forward with allegations that royalty payments, generated from various music distribution platforms, were being systematically distributed and divided without his knowledge or consent. Peter expressed profound bewilderment and frustration over this lack of transparency, questioning the rationale behind his complete exclusion from information regarding these substantial financial inflows. He asserts that he was never apprchended or informed about the disbursement of these funds, which represented a significant portion of the group’s earnings.

Furthermore, Peter contends that following the official dissolution of Psquare in 2017, a substantial shift occurred in the handling of royalty payments. He claims that funds designated for Northside Entertainment were, in fact, rerouted and channeled into a separate entity identified as Northside Music. This alleged diversion, Peter elaborated, was substantiated by bank statements that he reviewed, which indicated that aggregators had deposited a staggering sum, approaching one point two million dollars, into the Northside Music account over a period spanning from 2017 to 2023. He emphatically denies any prior knowledge of this arrangement or any form of approval for such a significant financial redirection.

Peter further detailed his attempts to address these burgeoning financial discrepancies. He recounted confronting Jude Okoye, the elder brother and former manager, regarding the perplexing financial issues. However, he lamented that these discussions did not yield any satisfactory or clear explanations, leaving many of his questions unanswered. He also stated that he made persistent efforts to communicate his concerns to Paul Okoye, his twin brother, emphasizing that he felt something was fundamentally amiss. Despite his repeated attempts to convey the seriousness of the situation, Peter claims that his anxieties were largely dismissed and his warnings went unheeded.

A central point of contention for Peter revolves around the fundamental mechanics of financial transactions within their business structure. He questions the legitimacy of how music aggregators, who were previously remitting royalties to Northside Entertainment, abruptly ceased those payments and commenced directing them to Northside Music. He strongly argues that such a redirection of funds from an account jointly owned by all three brothers, representing the core of their musical enterprise, could not have legally or legitimately occurred without explicit and proper authorization from all parties involved. In his view, any alteration of this magnitude would necessitate a formal, documented agreement, requiring his signature or a duly authorized representative to act on his behalf. This leads him to the crucial and unanswered question: who, precisely, signed documents or provided authorization in his stead?
