Manchester City defeated Arsenal 2-0 to secure the Carabao Cup.

Manchester City has secured the first trophy of the season by defeating Arsenal 2-0 in the Carabao Cup final at Wembley Stadium.Pep Guardiola’s squad saw their ambitions of a Quadruple come to an abrupt end earlier this week when they were eliminated from the Champions League by Real Madrid in the Round of 16.Meanwhile, Arsenal entered the match still competing for four trophies this season. The first half concluded without any goals as both teams cautiously assessed one another. However, City broke the deadlock early in the second half, capitalizing on a mistake by Kepa Arrizabalaga, whose mishandling of the ball allowed Nico O’Reilly to head it into an unguarded net.O’Reilly added a second goal to finalize the victory for City, although they remain nine points adrift of Arsenal in the Premier League standings.
