Easter Sunday in April 2021, according to entrepreneur and content creator Dedun Oluwo, was the day everything fell apart for her when she found out her spouse had been in communication with someone he had no business talking to. In an interview with host Chude, she described the traumatic incident in great detail, stating that she discovered it late at night when she picked up his phone to initiate a conversation she had been attempting to establish.
She claimed that she had spent the whole Easter day by herself, preparing breakfast, lunch, and dinner as she waited for her husband to get home. When he did, he ate separately and went directly to bed without talking to her. Before reaching for his phone and discovering messages that verified her worst fears, Oluwo claimed she had been in a restless, emotionally charged condition for hours.
“He wasn’t home when I woke up on Easter Sunday,” she stated. He told me he was at church when I messaged him. I thus prepared breakfast. He had not returned by 12:00. I prepared lunch. He wasn’t present. I prepared dinner. He was still absent. Sunday of Easter. When he arrived at the house, he simply said hello before entering the room as I was completing my dinner. He grabbed his food and returned to the room when I was finished.
I’d had enough. I didn’t want to go in there and start a fight, so I left a message on his phone. However, the communication was unsuccessful. I waited as a result. I remained in the living room until around twelve. Then by four in the morning. When I grabbed his phone while it was charging, the screen turned on and I began to receive texts. I thought, “Wait, what’s going on here?” He shouldn’t have gotten in touch with that person in the first place. I realised my world had collapsed on that day.
