UK PM Says Killing Of Ali Khamenei Makes Go Berserk, Firing Missiles In Several Counties

Iran International English reported on Monday, March 2, 2026, that Ali Khamenei, the supreme leader of Iran, has died. His death has prompted Tehran to take more aggressive military actions across the region. It has also led to more assertive economic actions. British Prime Minister Keir Starmer confirmed this.

Their approach is becoming increasingly reckless. It is more dangerous to civilians. Starmer told MPs in the House of Commons. He described the Islamic Republic’s actions as a growing threat to citizens in neighbouring nations. Iran has reportedly sped up its missile deployments. It is targeting critical infrastructure in other nations, as the prime minister pointed out.

According to Starmer, this escalation is a departure from Tehran’s earlier, more measured measures. He said the sequence of assaults in the Gulf and its environs is indicative of a pattern of recklessness. This pattern endangers regional peace and security. It also threatens international shipping lines.

The UK government is keeping a careful eye on events. They are working with partners. Starmer stressed these points but did not reveal any details about the locations or types of recent Iranian strikes. fears about Iran’s economic manoeuvres, particularly those that disrupt neighbouring economies, were brought up by Starmer alongside military fears.

He cautioned that economic pressure and forceful military action will make the region’s humanitarian difficulties worse.

Concerns over the safety of vital energy infrastructure have contributed to rising tensions in the Middle East. Allegations of coordinated actions by groups backed by Iran have also played a role. The prime minister has addressed these issues in his remarks.

Starmer reaffirmed Britain’s dedication to a defensive stance. He said the country will continue to back partners in their fight against Iranian threats. To end his remarks, he emphasised the need for international cooperation and heightened vigilance to avoid any more escalation. “The situation demands careful attention, coordinated responses and support for civilians caught in the crossfire,” said Starmer.
